First there was the AIKON Quartz in 2016. Next came an automatic line of AIKON watches in 2018. This year, Maurice Lacroix introduces the AIKON Venturer – a reinvention of the AIKON concept known for its comfort and striking design.

Of course, fans of Maurice Lacroix will know that the AIKON story can be traced much further back to the Maurice Lacroix Calypso. This steel watch was one of the brand’s most iconic models of the 1990s and has been deftly updated to suit more modern tastes.

The Maurice Lacroix AIKON is an unmistakeable timepiece with a distinctive, masculine style. Its boldly proportioned case shape and robust finishing is perfectly balanced with a legible dial and comfortable strap. The AIKON is built for busy trains, long commutes and board room meetings, but also weekend escapes in the countryside. Its 43mm steel case is water resistance to 300 metres (30 ATM) and features a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel incorporating a countdown function to measure time in any situation.

Now, the Maurice Lacroix AIKON Venturer takes this ‘urban adventurer’ spirit and reinvents it for fans of diver style watches. Its 43mm steel case is water resistance to 300 metres (30 ATM) and features a unidirectional rotating ceramic bezel incorporating a countdown function to measure time in any situation.

These recognisable diver-style elements are balanced with features that perform impeccably on land, such as satin-finished steel, polished edges, a sunray brushed dial and a bracelet or rubber strap that can be quickly changed depending on the day you have in store.

Inside the case, the AIKON Venturer is powered by the automatic calibre ML115 with a 38-hour power reserve. Eagle-eyed enthusiasts will also note the alternating round and rectangular hour markers, which are coated with Super-LumiNova to be legible even in the dark.

Just like other AIKON timepieces, this new iteration is powerful but won’t dominate the wrist when it comes to throwing on a dinner suit. The AIKON Venturer is available in two colourways, blue or black, with the option of a five-row stainless steel or rubber strap.
